EDUCATION

Micaela holds a degree in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University with a concentration in Political Communication and an MSW from Tulane University with a focus on Leadership Resilience. She also holds certificates in Executive and Performance Leadership from Cornell University.

In 2009, Micaela was selected as a Truman Scholar, a prestigious honor recognizing commitment to public service, leadership potential and outstanding academic achievement.

EXPERIENCE

After beginning her career in higher education administration, Micaela accepted a role in non-profit fundraising overseeing statewide development work for a national advocacy organization. One year later, she was hired by the nation’s 12th largest NGO. Micaela raised more than $30 million as a frontline fundraiser before accepting a senior leadership role sharing responsibility for $50+ million in annual revenue and executing growth strategies across all levels of giving.

She became a Certified Fundraising Executive in 2021.
